Sylas
Poor Sylas came into the world ready to fightđȘ. Born with a bad case of torticollis and chronic acid reflux, he was not a happy camper and his angry outbursts proved itđĄ. His exhausted mother Andrea was constantly changing both Sylasâs clothes and her own clothes because of his constant spit-up, and changes made to his formula as well as giving him medication were not helping at all. Neither at-home exercises to help him turn his head and neck, nor adjustments in parenting techniques were bringing Sylas any relief. Needless to say, getting a good nightâs sleep in the McAlister home was non-existentđ„±. âWe started to get exhausted because nothing was working. We knew we had to seek help,â Andrea said. Â
Sylas is a lucky little guy to have a mom like Andrea who is willing to do what it takes to get relief for her child, and that relief began with their first visit to E320 Chiropracticđwhen he was two-years old. Upon receiving a thorough report from Dr. Rhonda explaining why Sylas was struggling, mom Andrea said âI remember being shocked and thinking âhow can his body be in so much stress â heâs so littleâ! What I didnât know though, was how much stress birth puts on babiesđ¶, and Dr. Rhonda showed me on the scans why he was having emotional outbursts and wasnât sleeping well.â Once Sylas began having his regular adjustments, Andrea said she saw immediate resultsđ! But not only is Sylas finally getting relief from the awful reflux, torticollis, and emotional regulation, Mom reports that Sylas is also getting sick less often, focusing better, and is now more flexible and mobileđ! At one point during his care plan, Andrea said they took a break from his regularly scheduled adjustments, and they quickly realized that was a mistakeđŹ! âHis behavior was out of control! I took him back to Dr. Rhonda and immediately saw change again. I knew I had to continue his care to help him feel better,â Andrea explained. Â
One of Andreaâs favorite things about E320 Chiropracticđis how well we work with children and busy family schedules. One of our favorite things about Andrea is that she makes time to bring her little boy in for each and every adjustment because she knows his well-being depends on itđ. Seeing a happy little Sylas grace our office doors each week is a big deal because we know how much relief he and his family now have as a result of neurologically-focused chiropractic caređ.
