Rowan

A fairly new member of the E320 Chiropractic💚 family, 5-year-old Rowan is one remarkable fella.  Since he was a baby, Rowan has had to tackle one obstacle after another, so to say that he’s resilient is an understatement💪.  Lucky for Rowan, mom Sarah and dad Andrew refused to give up on finding help for their child.  When the E320 Team first met Rowan, his parents’ main concern was his chronic, left-sided Eustachian tube dysfunction😫.  Wanting to get to the root cause of that problem was paramount, but they were also hopeful that neurologically-focused pediatric chiropractic care could give them insight and help with his other issues as well (trouble regulating emotions, shutting down when upset, and trouble paying attention).

It seemed as though little Rowan had started life off on the wrong foot… “The first year of Rowan’s life was filled with a lot of challenges.  He had colic, torticollis, frequent ear infections, low tone, and feeding difficulties😩.  I noticed that his body tone was ‘floppy’ compared to my other two children, and he was in and out of specialists’ offices for various procedures,” Sarah explained.  Over time, most of the issues got better, but as Rowan got older, he began facing new challenges: trouble regulating his emotions and difficulty focusing🌪.  At this point, Sarah and Andrew’s frustration level was maxed out, but they still had hope and it showed up in the form of neurologically-focused pediatric chiropractic care🧠.

After Rowan’s thorough neurological exam and doctor’s report🤓, the “big WHY” was made oh-so-clear  Sarah explained, “Instead of being met with ‘Oh, that’s just Rowan,’ Dr. Rhonda really took the time to explain to us what the scans📈meant and why he had been experiencing so many issues since birth.  Finally, we had a “why,” and we could actually see it!”  After about one month into his personalized care plan, Rowan started experiencing major improvements🙌!  His teachers👩🏫reported that his emotional regulation issues had greatly improved, he no longer shuts down when he gets upset, and he’s now able to calm himself and explain what he needs🎉!  Even Rowan himself started reporting that he was having “good days” at school🍎!  At home, Sarah started noticing that his coordination was improving, he seems more easy-going, and he even gets fewer runny noses!  To add to the celebrations🎉, at the most recent visit to the ENT, the doctor discovered that Rowan no longer had a retracted tympanic membrane (the previous ear tube problem)🤯!

Unlike the many specialists that Rowan was referred to for help, Sarah said that the E320 Team💚met them where they were and refused to pass him along without answers.  Rowan is one lucky guy to have such determined parents, and now he’s able to look forward to kindergarten with confidence💪.  We’re honored that Rowan’s family chose us to walk alongside them as he matures into the strong and happy kid he was meant to be👦!
